I’m currently sitting at 105,000 words. I only have a few chapters left to finish, and the book is already in my editor’s hands.

I’m so damn excited to publish, sit back, and see what happens.

Season One is going to be a trilogy, with the story featured in the album spreading across three books.

Once I finish Book 01, I’m rolling straight into writing Book 02 while editing and publishing move forward. My goal is to get all three books out this year and, hopefully, into the hands of audiobook pros soon after.

It’s been one hell of a journey getting to know Riot, Lyra, and the 29 other characters I created for this first book.

The songs started as a loose outline. Just a concept that either made me laugh or got me hyped like I was back in 6th grade waiting for the next DBZ episode to come on at 5:30, scarfing down dinner so I wouldn’t miss a second.

On another note, “Grief Bears the Smithy,” which came out a week ago, just broke 1,300 streams. According to Spotify, 295 people listened to it an average of 4.35 times each. That totally tracks. Sheila is a badass. Just wait until you read about her in the books. She rocks.

Not bad considering I only started this project on February 1.

People are connecting with the music, the story, and the world, and I’m genuinely grateful for that.

Anyway, that’s all I’ve got for today.
