Murder Hobo Martha Vol. 2 continues the dungeon-born chaos with six story-driven industrial metal tracks built around aggressive guitars, pounding drums, dark synth textures, and a deliberately warm, retro-leaning mix. This time, Martha is no longer alone. She’s dragging around a skeletal “best friend” named Denise, treating every horrifying situation like a perfectly normal party-management problem while the dungeon keeps throwing stranger things at them.
The story moves through bad slimes, skeleton mobs, strange encounters, necromancy, and increasingly ridiculous acts of loyalty, all while Martha remains completely convinced that she and Denise are functioning like a normal adventuring team. Every song is performed by LYRA, shifting between melodic vocals, harsh delivery, spoken character moments, and manic narration. Retro video game influences run throughout the record with chiptune textures, system-style cues, dungeon ambience, and game-inspired transitions that make the album feel like a corrupted RPG playing out in real time.
Sound design is part of the storytelling itself. Impacts, bone rattles, slime noises, movement sounds, environmental effects, and other action cues are layered directly into the songs so you hear the chaos as it happens instead of simply being told about it.
