Witness of Six Days
Singles
Released: July 10, 2026

“Witness of Six Days” is an epic metal testimony sung by LYRA, music co-written by John Debasio. Built around a tense guitar intro, heavy cinematic movement, and a chorus meant to hit like a distress signal, the song tells the story of sailors trapped between fire, command, and silence. It is not sung from distance. It is sung from inside the wire.

The lyric follows an attack at sea, jammed calls for help, rescue turned back, and survivors forced to carry a version of events that does not match what they lived. The song moves from battlefield chaos into institutional cover-up: clean rooms, locked mouths, medals over truth, and the unbearable weight of being told to forget what cannot be forgotten.

At its core, “Witness of Six Days” is about memory refusing burial. Six days witnessed. Sixty years buried. Now the dead wake, the signal burns through the static, and the survivor’s voice rises with them: not to ask permission, but to testify.

Lyrics

Sun beat hard upon men of bare
Cries pelted through the broken air
Marked the fire, but took no side
Their fodder for our suicide

Shadows crossed
Steel birds plunged
First pass flew, aimed defeat
Bodies dropped
As knowing spread
Second pass opened the meat

They jammed the calls we tried to send
Mayday died inside the wires
They aimed upon our safety's nest
No Phoenix from their fires

No survivors
Sink the truth
Burn the signal
Kill the proof

We're in this now
You've pulled us in this now
Save Our Souls
Never meant to make it out

None left to tell
No mistake
Sixty years buried
Now we wake

One blast opened heaven's floor
Torpedo kissed the lower dark
Twenty-five fell in one breath
Lights went black below the deck
They jammed the sky, but not our hope
We punched the call through broken teeth
Help took flight from across the sea
And turned right back against our pleas

Called for help
Help took flight
Wings of home
Crossed the night

Then they turned
Turned away
Who gave that order?
Who got paid?

Inside the wire
Inside command
Inside the rooms
With clean white hands

Inside our flag
Inside our own
They made the sea
A killing floor

Back home, my mouth under lock, their key
Forget, reframe my delivery
Smile now, sailor, take this cross to keep
Tell them it wasn't man's mistake, but sea
They layered medals for my crown
Truth buried, blurred and bound

No survivors
Sink the truth
Burn the signal
Kill the proof

We're in this now
You've pulled us in this now
Save Our Souls
Never meant to make it out

No survivors
No mistake
Six days witnessed
Sixty wake

No survivors
No more sleep
Dead men rise
From the classified's keep

Don't dare to claim this a fog of war
I was there and came home wrong
This witness lives below the hymn
We're not done til the dead sing their song
